The Boathouse is a superb, newly completed, holiday cottage that sleeps 4 people with all accommodation on one level with two bedrooms, one with double bed and one with two single beds.
There is a fully fitted open plan kitchen / lounge with log burner.
Dog friendly – up to 2 well behaved dogs.
Enjoy a week, midweek or long weekend away.
The Boathouse cottage is located down a quiet country lane in the village of Roughton which is ideally situated for the stunning North Norfolk coastline.
There is also a stunning beach at Overstrand just a 10 minute drive from us.
Caralyn is a great host, really quick to respond and very accommodating when we asked to stay an extra night.
The location is brilliant too, lost of stunning beaches nearby to tire out the dog (and children!).
In short, can’t fault The Boathouse and would definitely return and recommend.
We really loved the mixture of scenic British countryside, whilst only being a few miles from the sea. Cromer has also come on a lot in recent years and there are now some great places to eat, we particularly liked eating fresh crab in the sunshine at Rocky Bottoms and gluten-free options at No.1.
We’d also strongly recommend making the 40 minute drive to see the seals at Horsey Beach.
So near to the many places to visit. Fish and Chip delivery from the local shop was very welcome at the end of a very busy few days. Very highly recommended..
Immaculate, well-stocked kitchen (nice to not have to buy washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs and foil) and great location for accessing the North Norfolk Coast. I’m sure we’ll be back!
